Scouting helps develop personality – DSA President


Governor of the Central Province, Lalith U. Gamage said Scouting would aid in the development of a child, leadership qualities, a healthy, disciplined and balanced personality, as well as a good attitude to life.

He was elected President of the newly-formed District Scout Association(DSA).

Gamage said the Scout movement helps to develop productive citizens who work for the country regardless of race or religion.

Addressing the 102nd Annual General Meeting of the Kandy District Scout Association, held recently at the Pallekele Scout Training Centre in Kundasale, he said that since taking office as Governor, he has taken steps to protect public funds.

He stated that it has been used for the betterment of the country and that everyone should work together wisely for the motherland’s future.
