Former PM Mahinda Rajapaksa and son arrive in Parliament


Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has arrived in Parliament today (18).

This is the former Premier’s first public appearance since his resignation.

He was at the Trincomalee Navy base during the past few days due to security concerns, after the 9 May violence.

Former Minister Namal Rajapaksa was also seen in Parliament today.

Parliament proceedings commenced this morning at 10 am today under the patronage of the Speaker.
