Verdict on continuing Basil’s Malwana case postponed to June


The verdict on whether the case filed by the Attorney General against former Minister Basil Rajapaksa over misappropriating state funds to purchase a plot of land in Malwana, Dompe will continue has been postponed to June.

Accordingly, the case has been postponed to 3 June.

Lawyers have informed the court that the former Minister could not be present in Court due to the unfavorable situation in the country.

Rajapaksa, the first defendant in the case, was served three indictments by the Attorney General.
