Australia urges SL to observe democratic principles


Australia reiterates calls for democratic principles to be observed in Sri Lanka.

Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne said that in addition to democratic principles, protection must also be observed in the country and encouraged restraint on all sides.

“We condemn violence against peaceful protest and will continue to provide support to Sri Lankans in need.”
