Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Leader Rauff Hakeem said their future stance on the formation of an interim government would be determined by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s decision during ongoing discussions with the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) in this regard.
Hakeem also claimed that the announcement made to Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa regarding the Interim Government was too late and that the time for it had passed.
The shortage of essential commodities, other commodities, construction materials, and skyrocketing LP gas and fuel prices have all had a significant impact on the people of this country. People’s protests against the Government are intensifying by the day, and the country’s smoother functioning has come to a halt as a result.
“After everything went topsy-turvy, wisdom was born to President. We are prepared to hold discussions with the Government while remaining neutral. The no-confidence vote against the President cannot be postponed”.
