The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has limited dispensing fuel volumes for vehicles at filling stations with effect from yesterday (5), while long queues are being reported at filling stations across the country.
Accordingly, filling stations are permitted to pump only fuel worth Rs. 2,000 for motorcycles at a single time.
The limit for three-wheelers is set to Rs. 3000 worth of fuel while cars, vans and jeeps could obtain fuel worth Rs. 8000.
However, the restrictions are not applied to buses, lorries and other commercial vehicles, according to CPC’s chairman.
