Arch rivals Anula, Rathnawali clash today

Arch rivals Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda and Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha will meet in the final of the Under-19 Girls Inter Schools Cricket Tournament at Bloomfield on today (2).

 In the semi-final played on Saturday, unbeaten Rathnawali beat last year’s runner-up Wadduwa Central College by 58 runs at Nalanda College ground, while Anula beat defending champion Devapathiraja College Rathgama in a thriller by 8 runs at Surrey ground Maggona. 

 This tournament is conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket.

 Devapathiraja will meet Wadduwa Central in the 3rd place clash on 2nd May (Monday) commencing 9.00 a.m. at Bloomfield, while the final will also be held at the same venue commencing 1.00 p.m.
