‘Samagi Bala Pa Gamana’ kicks off from Kandy


The SJB’s ‘Samagi Bala Pa Gamana’,  a protest march against the Government, kicked off from Kandy, yesterday (26).

On the completion of the first day of the march, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, SJB MPs and supporters were marching from Mawanella to Kandy, Peradeniya, Kiribathkumbura, Pilimatalawa and Kadugannawa, yesterday (26). They will reach Galigamuwa today (27).

Premadasa visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy last morning and paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic. Then he proceeded to the historic Natha Devalaya to receive blessings.

With the blessings of the Ven. Theras, Premadasa joined the march.

The march started at 9.30 am from the Kandy Public Market and reached Peradeniya around 2.00 pm.

MPs Harin Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara, Eran Wickremerane, Nalin Bandara, Dr. Harsha de Silva and many other SJB MPs also joined the march.

‘Samagi Bala Pa Gamana’ is scheduled to arrive in Colombo on 30 April. The party will hold May Day celebrations on the following day.
