Sajith not prepared to be part of GR, MR-led interim Govt

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday (25) said he is not prepared to be a member of an Interim Government where President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa would continue to remain in their positions, disregarding the voice of the citizenry.

Addressing the assembly of political victims, Premadasa said that the people say that those who engaged in corruption would not be punished by a Government formed with the SLPP.

“The voice of the people is very clear. They demand that we not form a Government with the SLPP. I am not ready to disregard the people’s voice,” Premadasa said.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) will never betray the people’s voice. The people want to make this corrupt Government go home. We are dedicated to ensure their demand is fulfilled, he said.
