Police urge public not to obstruct fuel bowsers

Police yesterday (20) urged public not to attack, set fire or obstruct bowsers transporting fuel.

Police also said, all possible measures had been taken to ensure that diesel, petrol, and kerosene are distributed without any delay across the country and urged the public not to disrupt supply to fuel stations.

Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said because fuel such as diesel and petrol are highly inflammable, any attempt to set fire to bowsers could result in massive damage to both people and property.

As a result, he urged the public to assist with fuel distribution throughout the country to overcome the current situation.
