Litro Gas suspends distribution

Litro Gas has temporarily suspended the distribution of domestic gas cylinders until Monday (25) owing to a shortage of gas.

A spokesperson of the company said the consignment of gas that arrived in the country today (20) would not be sufficient for domestic use distribution.

He said the consignment would instead be distributed to hospitals, crematoriums and industries.

The spokesperson, however, said that gas will be available for domestic use distribution on 25 April following the scheduled arrival of a gas tanker on Sunday (24).

He pointed out that as per the country’s gas consumption, three gas tankers are needed weekly, with each tanker costing approximately USD 4 million.
