Trishaw drivers to storm President’s house

The All Island Three-Wheeler Drivers and Owners Association yesterday (18), warned that if CEYPETCO also increases fuel prices, they will storm the residences of the President, Prime Minister, Ministers and Government MPs.

Media Secretary of the Union, Kapila Galapitage, questioned the purpose of having a Government if LIOC could hike fuel prices according to their whims and fancies.

He also questioned the purpose of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) in light of these unfair and arbitrary price hikes by LIOC.

He added that if the Government fails to provide a fuel subsidy to three-wheeler drivers, they will be forced to join the youth who are presently staging an anti-Government protest at Galle Face.
