Rs 2,500 service increment for Police officers

IGP Chandana Wickremaratne has decided to offer a service increment of Rs 2,500 to  acknowledge work rendered by Police officers.

 Chief Police Inspectors and those below that rank employed in the Police Department up to 11 April, this year will be entitled to the service increment.

All Police Assistant Security Officers will also be given a salary increase.

According to the IGP, this service increment is granted to Police officers to commend the work rendered by them during the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic and work done by them to save lives.
