A three-day protest march against the Government, organised by the National People’s Power (NPP), began yesterday (17) in Beruwala.

The ‘Pannamu’ protest march, led by MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake, began in Beruwala and marched to Wadduwa, where it was joined by Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and a large crowd demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Dissanayake said during the march that they organised the protest march to force “the despotic Government to leave the country, allowing a people-friendly Government to take over.”

The NPP will continue the protest march from Wadduwa to Moratuwa today (18) and from Moratuwa to Town Hall on 19 April.
