Vintage Cricket Club recorded their second win in their Masters 30-over Cricket encounter when they beat Legends of Richmond by 4-wickets at the Dharmapala College grounds on 27 March.

Taking first lease of the wicket, Vintage openers Duncan Arnolda and Damith Hunukumbura put up a solid 101 runs stand. With the dismissal of Hunukumbura, Chamara Silva joined Arnolda and added another 90 runs for second wicket. The seventh wicket partnership between Carman Mapatuna (70*) and Ian Coggiins (35*) steered them to the 300 plus mark. Chamil Perera had the best bowling figures capturing three scalps, while Asoka Sirimanne had two.

In reply, Legends of Richmond lost five early wickets with the scoreboard reading 109. Asoka Sirimanne joined Chamil Perera and the pair got the score ticking by adding 135 runs for the sixth wicket. Going for a big hit Sirimanne was dismissed for 80. Chamil Perera played an anchor role and was not out on 80 at the end of their 30 overs. Even with valuable contributions from Tarindu Weerasinghe, Lasantha de Silva and Nishantha Mendis, Legends of Richmond fell short of the target by 84 runs.
