Sri Sumangala and St. Sebastian’s move to semis

Defending champions Sri Sumangala College Panadura and St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya advanced to the semi-finals of the Under-19 Division Two Tier ‘A’ Inter Schools Cricket Tournament yesterday.

Sri Sumangala beat St. John’s Jaffna by 6 wickets in the quarter-final played in Kotahena, while St. Sebastian’s beat Vidyartha College Kandy by 10 runs in Moratuwa.

In Moratuwa (St. Sebastian’s won by 10 runs) 

St. Sebastian’s: 127 (25.5) (Senura Dimal 29, Nimesh Madusanka 23, Thisara Madushan 23, Adithya Bandara 4/14) 

Vidyartha: 117 (30) (Anuja Nisal 60, Nimesh Madusanka 3/27)

In Kotahena (Sri Sumangala won by 6 wickets) 

St. John’s: 62 (28.4) (Anton Abishek 27, Manmitha Dulran 4/17, Vishva Lahiru 3/16, Rasika Dilshan 3/18) 

Sri Sumangala: 63/4 (14.1) (Kirupananthan Kajakarnan 3/16)
