Colombo High Court Judge Navaratne Marasinghe, yesterday (28), fixed further hearing of the case against three accused, including the father of suicide bombers Insaf Ahmed and Illam Ahmed, in connection with the 2019 Easter Sunday terror Attacks, to 25 May. The three accused, Mohomad Yousuf Mohomad Ibrahim, Mohomad Ijaz Ahamad and Mohomad Ibrahim Ismail Ahamad, who are currently in remand custody, were produced before the Court by Prison officers.

The lawyers for the defendants told the Court, that they will be filing bail applications on behalf of their clients shortly. Later, Judge Marasinghe stated that an appeal to that effect could be submitted. The Attorney General indicted the three accused with violating the Prevention of Terrorism Act by failing to inform the Police of the impending Easter Sunday carnage in 2019, after being aware of it.
