The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB), in a media release, states that due to the prevalent dry weather conditions, water levels in reservoirs are at a minimum level. The NWSDB states that use of water had also increased markedly and hence they have urged the consumers to use water sparingly at this critical juncture and only when necessary. The Water Board has stated that water saved at this crucial period would go a long way towards it being distributed in equal measure to the entire country. The NWSDB has explained that the ongoing power outages in the country have also had an impact in the supply of water and hence they noted that the pressure in the supply of water to certain areas could be low at certain times of the day.
