Court refuses to set aside Priyantha Kumara murder case trial

A petition calling for the trial proceedings to be set aside in the Priyantha Kumara murder case has been dismissed.

A division bench of the Lahore High Court today (29) dismissed the plea, declaring it as not maintainable, reports the Express Tribune.

The prime accused, Taimoor Ahmad, had filed the writ petition in the provincial high court.

As many as 40 witnesses have so far recorded their statements before an anti-terrorism court hearing the case at the Kot Lakhpat prison.
