Kandy Sports Club continued their unbeaten run in the Nippon Paint Inter Club Rugby League encounter when they beat Police Sports Club by 21 points (3 tries, 3 conversions) to 7 points (1 try, 1 conversion) at the Police Park yesterday.

At the short breather Kandy led 7/0.

Though the record will show Kandy won this game, they never looked like a champion outfit. They will have two tough Colombo outings in the coming weekends against CH and FC and Havies which will decide the fate of the League, whether it stays in the Hills or returns back to Colombo.

Kandy SC scored their tries through Heshan Kalhara and Srinath Sooriyabandara, while the third was a penalty try. Tharinda Ratwatte was on target with both kicks.

For the Cops their only try was scored by Vageesha Weerasinghe. Manilka Ruberu added the extras.
