A third man, also in his 70s, collapsed and died at a filling station while buying fuel.
The latest incident was reported from Mirigama today (21).
The 76-year-old had tried to lift several filled cans, which he had brought, when he had fainted.
He was taken to the area’s hospital, but had died there.
Yesterday, two men – aged 70 and 71 – died while standing in line for fuel at filling stations in Kadawatha and in Kandy town.
