The Sri Lanka Petroleum Private Tanker Owners’ Association called off their strike following successful discussions with Energy Minister Gamini Lokuge.

The Association yesterday decided to withdraw from fuel transportation, after the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) failed to heed their request for an increase in transport fares by 60%.

A written request was made in this regard to CPC last Monday.
